Orientation Session

YVS launch the Palestine Talks Project. Palestine Talks aims to promote the Palestinian narrative in the international community for a better understanding of the Palestinian cause. To do so, the project kicks off with a capacity-building program that targets 15 Gaza writers in the fields of Rights (the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights) and Creative Writing. Being equipped with such knowledge, participants will produce one article/ essay each to talk about their own stories. After that, channels of connection will be created between these writers and 5 USA writers to have the articles/ essays proofread and edited to be then set to be published worldwide. In the pictures, we see the project participants meeting up for the first time after being painstakingly selected based on specific selection criteria. In the meeting, participants got to know one another and further familiarize themselves with the project idea, goal, and vision. Moreover, they discussed the fears, concerns, and challenges that they might encounter during the implementation phase and how to tackle them.

You rock, guys!
